“Photographs and Memories”

Lynn’s photographic work features landscapes and places of architectural interest – many of which are recognizable. This work is a collection from her travels throughout the United States and Europe. Her photos are archival pigment prints on high-quality art paper. Each piece is professionally framed, using acid-free cotton mats, and UV blocking anti-reflective glass.

Recently, Cheryl has been exploring life’s destinations, how they are recorded and how those memories differ from the images in our head. Her pieces are acrylic/canvas and cut paper and resin on panel.

Photographer Spotlight

Lynn AlaimoLynn M. Alaimo

A Hudson Valley-based photographer, Lynn has worked for years to hone her craft. Beginning her journey into the world of the arts at a young age after inheriting her dad’s hand-me-down camera, Lynn discovered her passion for photography fairly quickly. She realized she had a natural instinct for composition, and was able to see details through the lens that helped turn a hobby into a true passion.

Lynn’s love of travel paired naturally with her love of photography. Sharpening her eye with each new adventure, her work showcases landscapes and places of architectural interest. Always in search of the “perfect shot,” Lynn’s love of natural light allows her to capture “the true flavor, or essence, of that particular place.” With an impeccable sense of detail, her photography works to capture the cultural zeitgeist of each given location.

Lynn has recently joined Digital Photo Academy as an instructor and Hudson Valley National Headquarters team member.

Her work has also been published in Chronogram, the premier cultural magazine of the Hudson Valley. Her work is featured in articles for the Chronogram June Issue launch party and Kip’s Tavern in Rhinecliff.
